Nail Art with Xroma Nail Vinyls - Part 4

It is the final part of my nail art series using the wonderful nail vinyls by Xroma! As I mentioned in my last post I had some technical difficulties towards the end, but I am back on track now (loving my new camera by the way). All the nail art vinyls that I have used are available from Xroma Nail Vinyls.

Scattered Diamonds - Well, this design is what it sounds like!

I used "Tail Feather" and "Winter" both by Picture Polish. I chose those polishes because I often find myself reaching for the same shades, pinks, purples, reds, so I am trying to choose some different colours that I wouldn't normally go for.

Still trying to steer away from my typical pinks and purples, for this mani I used "Instinct" by Picture Polish along with a prototype Miss Priss polish.

Honeycomb - Just like the bees make it!

Ok, back to my more girly shades with some purple polishes. For this I used a dark purple jelly polish which was actually a prototype Miss Priss polish that I was playing with, along with "Violet Flower" by Miss Priss.

Next up I used some pink shades back in my life. For this mani I used "Blossom" by Sienna Byron Bay and "Artemis" by Shades of Phoenix.

Fishnet - Like fish scales or fishnet stockings?

For the base I used "Set The Sails" by Miss Priss as well as a light blue prototype also by Miss Priss.

Here is another mani that fell victim to my tech failures. I only have this one picture of this fishnet vinyl used with "My Vampire Is Buff" by O.P.I. and "Raven" by Jamberry.

Last, I did something more soft and subtle using "Grace" and "Eerie" by Picture Polish. I actually did a really subtle gradient on my middle and ring finger where I used the nail vinyl.

Turtle Shell - A fun geometric pattern.

I love how this one turned out. I used some of my favourite polishes by Powder Perfect for this one... For the base I used "Cerulean" and then my favourite Powder Perfect glitter polish "She's Gone Orna-mental" over the top.

For the next mani using the Turtle Shell nail vinyls I used "Denim" by Celestial Cosmetics and a sample shade from Shades of Phoenix.

Tear Drops - A lovely design

I used "Raven" by Jamberry for the base and then "Bohemian" by Picture Polish over the top. I love the contrast between the two colours and how you can see the beautiful colour shift in "Bohemian".

I can't remember what two glittery Glam Polishes I used for this mani, turns out I didn't write them down before I put them away (and I have 4 helmer draws full of Glam Polishes, the chances of me finding out which ones I used is slim to none). But I do know that for the base I used "Sky" by Picture Polish!

Lotus - A pretty scattered design, kind of geometric, yet soft.

I used "Grace" and "New York" by Picture Polish for this mani. I love how these soft pinks work together.

I love how the grey and yellow works together. I used two prototype Miss Priss polishes to create a gradient for the base and then did another gradient using "LakoDom" and "Winter" by Picture Polish with the nail vinyl.

Rings - An interlocking rings design. I found this one a little difficult to use.

First I used the nail vinyls themselves over the top of "Snow Me White" by Sinful Colours and sealed it in with a top coat.

Next, I created a decal using "Sky" by Picture Polish and "Night Terrors" by Emily de Molly.

And that's it! I'm done sharing my nail art using the amazing and creative nail vinyls by Xroma. Don't forget they are all available from their Etsy shop!

Nail Art with Xroma Nail Vinyls - Part 3

Well, I am finally onto part 3 of my nail art using nail vinyls by Xroma, but boy have I run into some technical issues. First my computer stopped working and then my camera died! So that means that I ended up loosing some pictures and it has taken me a bit to get back on track.

Cyclone - A swirling, whirling, vortex design, right on your nails.

For my first design using these nail vinyls I went for something bright! For the base I used "Need Sunglasses?" "Green-wich Village" & "No Room For The Blues" all by O.P.I.  Then for the Cyclone design I used "Black on Black" by Sinful Colours. I liked how the bright colours of the background contrasted with the black lines.

For the next design using the Cyclone vinyl I used "Mystery" by Polish Me Silly and "Black on Black" by Sinful Colours.

Giraffe Print - I actually really like this design as it wasn't so obviously a giraffe print and I liked how it could just be a funky pattern.

For this design I reached into my draw of polishes by Powder Perfect. I used"Otherwolrd" & "Prettiest Sight To See."

Next up I used a gradient of "Sky" and "Wisteria" by Picture Polish for the base and then sponged on "Abydos" by Picture Polish for a sparkly finish!

Hounds-tooth - I found this vinyl a little more difficult that most of the others. I found that the narrow joins holding each shape of the hounds-tooth together broke apart when I used the vinyl in a traditional way.  So I worked with what I had and used them in a different way to make it work.

First up I used the vinyl right over the top of the "Snow Me White" by Sinful Colour and trimmed off the excess.

Next I made a decal using my Uber Chic nail mat. I used "Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas" by Miss Priss and "Black on Black" by Sinful Colours. This is literally the only picture I got of this mani before my camera died!

Mermaid Scales - A well loved design perfect for changeling your inner mermaid.

First up I went with some light blue/green shades for a soft look. I used "Sky" and "Tail Feather" by Picture Polish.

I then went for something more blue and a little bit darker by using "Denim" by Celestial and "Cherish" by Powder Perfect.

Splat - A neat and tidy way to create colourful paint splatters.

I wanted to try something a little different with these and use them to create fireworks. I used "Raven" by Jamberry for the base and then used "Death Defying Acts" "Prest-O Change-O" "Catch Me If You Can" & "Deceptive Practice" by Glam Polish. I then went over some of the splats to thicken up some of the lines and make it look more like fireworks and less like splats of paint.

Next I went with neon paint splatter over white. For the base I used "Snow Me White" and then "Nicest Kids In Town" "Hey Mama" "Big, Blonde & Beautiful" & "New Girl In Town" by Glam Polish.

Tiger Print - Roar!

I wanted to try something different with this one. Instead of using two different colours to create the design I wanted to try contrasting the difference between matte and glossy top coats. For the base I used "Raven" by Jamberry and then topped it off with my Miss Priss glossy top coat. I then used my Miss Priss matte top coat with the nail vinyl.

Then I added some colour, but only a little bit. I used "Ski Teal We Drop" by O.P.I. as the base and "Loneliest Beings" by Shades of Phoenix.
