EGYPTOLOGY SERIES Part I - The Lower Kingdom Collection by Powder Perfect

I have had the honor of swatching part one of the Egyptology Series by Powder Perfect. This part of the series is the Lower Kingdom Collection, inspired by the lower kingdom of ancient Egypt. The lower kingdom was known as the "Land or Papyrus." The land was lush and verdant, enriched by the Nile.

All of the polishes in this series consist of microglitters. Each of the polishes applies in two-three coats depending on thickness. For each of my swatches I used three thin coats. The polishes dry fairly quickly but because of the micro glitters they also dry slightly textured. You can choose to leave them without a top coat, but I prefer to use a glossy top coat to result in a smooth glossy finish. Because it is slightly textured they do require a generous amount of top coat, depending on the look that you are going for.

"Bay of Alexandria" – A bright blue/teal shimmering microglitter polish with bright flashes of aqua and green. Inspired by it's name.  Ensconced within its shimmering depths are many artefacts and mysteries!

Deshret – A deep burgundy purple/red that sparkles. This polish is inspired by the crown of the Lower Kingdom. Ancient Egypt had two crowns; one for each kingdom. The crown of the Lower Kingdom was the Red Crown, the Deshret.

Inundation – A sparking black with holographic glitters. This polish is inspired by the Nile River and how it blessed Egypt by flooding its banks and depositing rich black silt upon the fields. By doing so it provided fertile ground to grow crops and support the local populace for the coming year.

“Iteru” The River –  A navy blue with sparkles including green and purple. Another polish inspired by the Nile. The Nile River was Ancient Egypt’s lifeblood, and the Egyptians timed their lives by its floods and relied upon it for many things.
