The Electric You Collection by Celestial Cosmetics

Now, these are neon holos done right! The Electric You Collection is a collaboration between Celestial and Color4Nails. This collection is inspired by the Electric Zoo music festival in New York. It is based on electronic dance music and reflects what people wear to dance festivals. These colours are amazing! For each swatch I used a white base to really make the colours pop! Since all of these polishes have very similar formulas I will talk about that after the swatch photos.

"Merge" - A hot pink linear holo. So pink and perky!

"Inception" - A hot blue linear holo. I found this one look best with an extra coat to make the colour more pigmented.

"Tantrum" - A hot red/orange liner holo. This appear to be mostly orange, but has a bit more depth to it.

"Adrenaline" - A hot green linear holo. Such an amazing bright lime green!

"Trip" - A hot orange/yellow linear holo. This one reminds me of oranges, as it has a real citrus colour to it.

"Singularity" - A hot purple linear holo. This one will be in limited supply and will be sold as a prototype, due to issues with the formula.

The colours are really bright and pigmented, but are also quite sheer. On their own the polishes build up to opacity in about four coats, but they look much better over the white base to make the colours louder and brighter. Over the white base I did between two and three coats to give it a bright, rich colour. Depending on how bright or dark you want the finish would depend on how many coats you would use. These are amazing polishes! They apply smoothly and are by far the best neon linear holographic polishes I have ever seen. This collection will be available from the 1st of July.

Stick Me Nails Nail Art Designs

I was sent some nail decals and stickers from Stick Me Nails. Overall, I really like what I was sent. They were super sticky and easy to use. They created a good seal against the nail, resulting in a clean, crisp line. As always I used a pair of tweezers when positioning the stickers. You can check out the Stick Me Nails shop with all of their nail stickers and decals HERE.

For the first design I used the chevron stickers. I didn't really have a plan of where I was going with this design, I just started playing around and this is what I ended up with. The polishes I used were "Peaches n' Cream" "Tiffany" & "Wisteria" all by Picture Polish. The only thing that I didn't like about the chevron stickers was that they are a really wide chevron, I would prefer a more acutely angled chevron.

My next nail art design is inspired @m_a_tom on Instragram. For this I used the straight stickers and the anchor decal.  I love how this turned out (even if my lines aren't totally straight). The polishes that I used for this are "Cherry Red" by Sally Hansen, "Blue Marlin" by Ulta3, and "Snow Me White" by Sinful Colors. The nail studs are from Emily de Molly.

For the last design I used the electric bolt sticker. This design was inspired by @mrslochness on Instagram. The polished I used were "Black on Black" by Sinful colours and "Crown Me Already" by O.P.I., as well as their matte top coat. The nail studs are from Emily de Molly.

Lady Is A Vamp by Powder Perfect

I was sent four stunning polishes from the new Lady Is A Vamp Collection by Powder Perfect. The collection has six different polishes in it and will be available from tomorrow! You can check out @PowderPerfect on Instagram for more amazing swatches of the collection.

"Maneater" - This polish is simply amazing! In the sunlight it is a beautiful holographic polish, but in the shade you can see the true details of the polish. This isn't just another holo, it has a combination of teal and iridescent glitters in it too! For my swatch I used three thin coats plus a glossy top coat. When applying this polish you can hardly even tell that there are any glitters in it, it apples that smoothly!

Saada Sunconure Inspired Nail Art

Saada is an Australian bikini brand that was started late last year by one of by beautiful friends. She has created some of the most amazing bikinis that I have ever seen, and they are the perfect inspiration for nail art! The Sunconure piece was one of the first pieces she created, so it is the first design that I decided to use as inspiration. The Sunconure bikini is a combination of bright summer colours from yellow to orange. For my nails a went a little bit more pastel, partly because I prefer pastels, and also because I had better pastel polishes.

The first design I did was inspired by the front of the bikini bottoms. On the front the design has orange that fades into yellow with a print over the top, then it is cut off by a solid bright orange. On my nails I used "Mellow Yellow" and "Peaches n' Cream" both by Picture Polish, I also used "Citrus" by Australis. For the stamping I used "Snow Me White" by Sinful Colors with stamping plate EDM02.

Lighting: In light box

I loved the stamped design so I decided to do the design over the rest of my nails. I love how this looked, I never wanted to take it off!

Lighting: In light box

I had to pose with my Saada Sunconure bikini bottoms. As you can see, the bikini is super bright and summery! It looks especially bright against my pastel nails and pale skin.

Utopian Paradise Stamping

"Utopian Paradise" by Glam Polish has just been released in the third part of the Exotic Illusions Series. When I swatched this polish made me think of a untouched tropical island full of lush green plants. This beautiful image in my head inspired me to do some stamping over the top. For the stamping I used EDM05 and "Snow Me White" by Sinful Colors.

Glam Polish - Exotic Illusions Part 3

Another three stunning polishes have joined the Exotic Illusions Series this month. If you want to revisit Part 1 you can see that HERE and Part 2 HERE. This series has seen a beautiful collection of polishes with stunning colour shifts. Part 3 is probably my favourite of the releases.

"Utopian Paradise" - This one is a beautiful shimmery green with a metallic shimmer. The name and the colour make me think of a untouched tropical island with luscious green plants. For my swatch I used three thin coats, plus a glossy top coat.

"Azure Bay" - An amazing bright blue with a super strong pink/purple shimmer. Such a beautiful polish, it reminds me of a tropical summer. The pink shimmer was really hard to capture, but you can kind of see it in the bottle, more than on the nail. For my swatch I used three thin coats plus a glossy top coat.

"Divine Cosmos" - This one is a deep purple with an amazingly strong blue shimmer. In some lighting it looks mostly blue, and in other lighting it looks all purple. This one reminds me of a tropical summer night. For my swatch I used three thin coats plus a glossy top coat.

The Epic Journey Collection by Glam Polish

The stunning collection is inspired by the Fellowships journey through Middle Earth and contains nine beautiful polishes. This collection is the ultimate combination of blues, greens, teals, purples and of course, blurples. The collection contains different combinations of holo dust, flakies and glass flecks to create truly unique polishes. Many of the polishes at first may appear to be similar, but I can assure you that each and every single polish is unique in its own way. Each polish from the collection seems to change drastically depending on the light, and they all have an amazing colour spectrum that my photography skills could not fully capture.  Each of the polishes in the collection require two or three coats depending on thickness, for my swatches I also topped each swatch off with a glossy top coat. For each swatch I have photos in direct sunlight and in my light box, for many of the polishes you can see a drastic colour change depending on the lighting. Enough from me, I am going to let the photos do the talking now...

"Anduin River" - This one is a brilliant deep blue with a slight greenish shimmer. It is packed with flakies and a stunning holographic effect. Probably one of my favourites from this collection.

"Isengard" - This one changes dramatically depending on the light as you can see in my pictures it looks very blue in the sunlight but in my light box it is much more purple. This one also has a generous sprinkling of holo dust and looks beautiful in the sunlight.

"Mines of Moria"- Another polish with a beautiful holographic effect in the sunlight. When in the light box photos you can see all the delicate flakies and flecks which gives it its depth and colour shift.

"Rivendell" - This was one of the most amazing and surprising polishes  in the collection. It has a deep green jelly base that is packed full of purple/blue flakies. It is quite mesmerizing to look at and difficult to capture. You can kind of see the green base with the coloured flecks in my light box pictures, a little imagination may be required.
