Just go with it, just trust it... Instinct

"Instinct" is a collaboration between Picture Polish and OhMyGoshPolish. This is now one of the coolest polishes that I own. Under a black light it GLOWS! It is such a beautiful polish to look at and so easy to apply. I used two coats plus a top coat.

I did some geometric stamping over the top of "Instinct" and it looks amazing under my black light! I stamped two different patterns from the plate EDM03. One image was stamped in white, then I stamped a different image over the top in black.

This is such an awesome polish I can't wait to see what else I can do with it! And I think I may have just become addicted to testing polishes out under my black light!

Party Girl Lacquer Swatches and Nail Art - Part 1

Party Girl Lacquer is a US based indie brand that I have had the honor of swatching this week.

"Freeze" - A blue polish with a holographic shimmer. This one is quite opaque and dries on its own to a matte finish, so for my swatch I used two thin coats plus a glossy top coat. Such a pretty polish with a beautiful formula.

"Sing, Sister" - A combination of different sized and shaped pink, blue, purple, and silver holo glitters in a clear base. Another easy to work with polish, with the right amount of glitter. I dabbed two coats over "Freeze" with a glossy top coat.

"Ice Dreams" - A beautiful combination of iridescent glitters in a sparkly base. I layered two thin coats over a black base with a glossy top coat. I love iridescent glitters, and this one does not disappoint!

Now time for some nail art as an added bonus!

First is a pastel pink and blue gradient using "Pink Friday" by O.P.I and "Baby's Got The Blues" by Miss Ashleigh with glitter placement using "Sing, Sister" down the middle of each nail. It took ages to pick out all the tiny glitters and place them around the larger ones, but I think it was totally worth it. I love how this turned out!

Another gradient, this time featuring "Ice Dreams." For my blue gradient I used "Baby's Got The Blues" by Miss Ashleigh, "No Room For the Blues" by O.P.I., "Blue Marlin" by Ulta3, and "I saw... U saw.. We saw... Warsaw" by O.P.I.. I used "Ice Dreams" as a glitter gradient over the blue gradient. I love the icy blue look of this mani.

For my last bit of nail art I decided to do some stamping over "Freeze." I used stamping plate EDM01 with white polish.  Up close this one is really pretty as you can see the shimmer of the blue polish under the stamping.

Glam Polish - Exotic Illusions Part 1

Get ready for another fabulous series by Glam Polish! The Exotic Illusions Series is being released in parts (similar to the Rydell High Series). This series contains shimmery holographic polishes that even have a subtle colour shift.

"Peace of Mind" - A sparkly blurple. This one was particularly hard to capture. In person it is much more purple with a dazzling blue shift at every angle, but in the photos it looks much more blue and a lot less purple. As usual, a fantastic formula. For my swatch I used three thin coats plus a glossy top coat.

"Rose Dawn" - I love this bright sparkly pink, with a soft blue colour shift. The colour shift is really hard to capture on camera.  This one is so beautiful, it's as if it was glowing. For this swatch I used four thin coats, mostly because it is a lighter shade and I wanted to cover up any visible free end of my nail in the sunlight.

"Tranquil Shores" - A bright blue that reminds me of crystal clear water surrounding tropical islands. This one is super sparkly! My camera was having difficulties focusing because of how sparkly it is! This swatch was also four thin coats with a glossy top coat. I love the formula on these polishes, they are so smooth and easy to work with!

Coral Colours - Party FX Graffiti Glitter Top Coat

Tonight I am sharing the Party FX Graffiti Glitter top coats by Coral Colours. This is a collection of eight every different and unique glitter combinations in a clear base. I picked these polishes up from my local pharmacy awhile ago and I am finally getting around to trying them out. I've been meaning to swatch these glitters for ages, so I had a late night swatch-a-thon and tested out my new light box along the way. I am glad that main stream brands are becoming more creative with their polishes and glitter combinations. The glitter toppers in this collection have fun and unique glitter combinations.  For each of my swatches I used two dabbed coats. The formula was pretty much the same for each polish, not too thick and easy to apply.

"Lazer Lights" over "Black on Black" by Sinful Colors. A fun combination of gold bar glitters, medium pink hex, and small teal glitters.

"Disco Ball" over "Flirty Bikini" by Ulta3. This polish is a mix of soft purple glitters with dark blue bar glitter.

"Monochrome Madness" over "Cherry Red" by Sally Hansen. A classic combination of matte black and white hexes and bar glitters.

"I Love The Night Life" over "Cool Grey" by Sinful Colors. This is my favorite combination of glitters with medium blue hex, small orange glitters, and black bars glitters.

"Fireworks" over "Lily White" by Ulta3. The red and blue hex and bar glitters in this polish layered over white remind me of 4th of July in America.

"Disco Ball" over "Soft Hydrangea" by Ulta3. This one is a cute mix of purple and blue glitters.

"Party FX" over "Soft Hydrangea" by Ulta3. A combination of matte, dark blue bar glitters, white hex, and medium and small pastel purple glitters.

"The Main Event" over "Cherry Red" by Sally Hansen. A fancy combination of silver and gold hex, with black bar glitters.
