Miss Ashleigh - Kryptonite

I am loving these thermal polishes by Miss Ashleigh!

The last thermal I have to share is "Kryptonite." This is a scatter holographic thermal that is a bright lime green when hot, and a dark green when cold. For my swatch I used three thin coats plus a top coat.

Miss Ashleigh - Supernova

Another fabulous thermal polish by Miss Ashleigh!

This is "Supernova" is scattered with holo glitter, magenta dots, and silver hex. When it is cold is is purple, and it is blue when warm. The formula was a little thin so for my swatch I used four thin coats, this gave it a lot of glitter depth!

Index and middle finger are warm, ring and little finger are cold

Such a beautiful polish!

Miss Ashleigh - Hot Flush

This post is long over due! Some how this beautiful thermal by Miss Ashleigh got pushed to the back of my swatching pile (I have a big swatching pile!). I love this polish, it has an amazing formula and I love looking down at my nails and seeing a different colour every time. It is a pink to purple scattered holo. When this polish is hot it is a bright pink, and when cold it is a deep purple. So beautiful. For my swatch I used three thin coats plus a top coat.

NBLacquer

Tonight I have some fun polishes from NBLacquer. For a change I decided to incorporate some simple nail art into my swatches.

"Greyscale" has all different kinds of black and white glitter (including some cute mickey shaped glitters) in a grey base. I found this polish to be really sheer so I layered two coats over "Cool Grey" by Sinful Colors then added a top coat to smooth it out. For the chevrons on my ring finger I used "Snow Me White" "Cool Grey" and "Black on Black" by Sinful Colors

"Spring Poppy" is an orange jelly with a colourful mix of glitters in different shapes and sizes. This one was also quite thin so I used 5 thin coats for my swatch with a top coat. Even though the formula on these first two was quite thin they were still smooth and easy to work with. I added a cute little flower to my ring finger that I received in some nail mail.

"Rustic Mint" is a combination of different silver and gold glitters in a dusty mint base. This one was a bit thicker than the previous two polishes so for my swatch I used three thin coats plus a top coat. To jazz this one up I added some gold triangle nail studs.

"Pink Lady" is a dusty pearl pink with a subtle silver shimmer. For my swatch I used three thin coats plus a top coat. I added some roses to my ring finger using "Cherry Red" and "Pink At Him" by Sally Hansen, "Pistache" by Sinful Colors, and "Jade is the New Black" by O.P.I.

Bunny Trail Nail Art

I had to do a few cute manis with the new limited edition polishes from the Glam Polish Bunny Trail Collection.

The first mani I did included all of the polishes from the Bunny Trail Collection. I started with "Hop Till You Drop" over white, then sponged the other colours from the collection onto the tips of my nails. Thumb: "Bunny Love" Index: "Spring Has Sprung" Middle: "It's a Good Hare Day" Ring: "Lil' Chickadee" Little: "For Peep's Sake"

The next one is inspired by two lovely ladies on Instagram @xxlovelauren and @carlysisoka. I did a half moon glitter placement with "Hope Till You Drop" with a full placement as an accent nail. I love the colours in this glitter topper and it is perfect for glitter placements.

Glam Polish - The Bunny Trail Collection

Such a super cute collection just in time for Easter! This collection is full of pastel polishes with a mix of small, medium and large pastel dot glitter. Another beautiful collection from Glam Polish.

The first few polishes are all quite similar, so I will talk about them after the swatch photos.

"Spring Has Sprung" such a perfect spring green with yellow dot glitter.

Glossy top coat

Matte top coat

"Lil' Chickadee" a soft peach with peachy pink glitter. I love the name of this polish, my older cousin used to call me chickadee when I was younger, so the name has good memories attached to it.

"For Peep's Sake" a beautiful soft sky blue. This was the brightest in the collection, but still really soft and pretty.

"It's A Good Hare Day" is a soft lavender purple. This one is so pretty in the bottle, but it looks so much more amazing on the nail!

"Bunny Love" is a soft pink crelly base with small gold micro glitter and pink dot glitter. Absolutely beautiful.

For my swatches of these polishes I used three thin coats plus a coat of Seche Vite for my glossy top coat, then O.P.I Matte top coat. All of these polishes had good formulas, not too thick or clumpy and easy to work with. I needed to wait for each layer to dry a bit before adding the next so as not to drag the larger glitter, but I didn't need to do any fishing for the large dot glitters.

"Hop Till You Drop" is the last polish from this collection. A super cute glitter topper containing a mix of all the dot glitters in a clear base. For my swatch I dabbed two coats over a white base and smoothed it out with a coat of Seche Vite.

Rydell High Nail Art

The Rydell High collection is perfect for some neon nail art! I am really excited to share this nail art, I feel like I haven't done much nail art in awhile and I am quite proud of how it turned out, even though it's not as good as I had hoped.

I had to try a water marble with these beauties. I found that some spread better than others. My personal favourite from the collection "Sandy" didn't spread as well as I had hoped. "We Go Together" was one of the better colours that spread and still maintained it's vibrant colour. For the water marble I used a white base, I think my ring finger turned out the best.  :)

This next attempt at nail art was a bad idea! This took hours, I'm not even sure exactly how long, but it was hours! I've been trying to master some new advanced stamping techniques... Clearly I need more practice! I tried following a few different techniques. One reverse stamping tutorial I followed was by Oh My Gosh Polish on YouTube, you can watch it HERE. I found that when I placed the design on my nail it was really thick and it bubbled. So I tried the decal tutorial by Nailz Craze, see HERE. I had the same sort of problem with this technique. Lastly I followed a tutorial by Nail Stamp 4 Fun, you can watch it HERE. This technique worked slightly better for me. My index finger probably turned out the best using this technique. My little finger was ok, but a little bumpy. On my middle finger only half the design came out so I did the rest by hand. For my ring finger I gave up on filling in the image then stamping it on so I stamped the design on as usual and then filled it in, then went over the lines to define them. I will need more practice but overall I am proud of my efforts even though it didn't turn out as I had hoped.

That is it for my neon Rydell High nail art, hope you liked it!

Glam Polish - Rydell High Part 3

The final three additions to the Rydell High Collection! If you need another look at the previous polishes in this collection you can see part one HERE, and part two HERE.

Now on to the important stuff... The swatches!

"You're The One That I Want" is a super bight red, with really slight pink undertones in direct sunlight, or maybe I'm just seeing things.

"We Go Together" is a neon yellow. Almost every yellow polish I own (not a lot) have poor formulas, and neon colours always need a white base to make them pop.The opacity and colour of this polish is amazing especially considering it is a yellow and a neon!

"Pink Ladies" is the last polish, and it's a stunner! Can't resist a hot pink! It is just so pink! One of my personal favourites from the collection.

Another angle of the pink, the first one just wasn't pink enough!  It is just such a bright pink it was hard to capture the full effect of the neon.

That is it for the Rydell High Collectors Edition polishes, 9 polishes in total. This  collection as a whole has had amazing, vibrant colours all with fantastic formulas. For this collection every one of my swatches has been three thin coats (no white undies on any of them!) with a top coat, with photos taken in direct sunlight. All of the polishes are available from Glam Polish with shipping to Australia and America. Part one and two are available now, but part three is still available for pre-order until the 27th of March.

February What's In-die Box?

February's box theme was bakery delights. I got this box thinking it would contain a lot of cute pastels, and it did have some pastels, and a few other surprises! I think this is the best box so far!

The sun has decided to go into hiding,  and then teases me by only coming out on the days that I have work. I did my best to capture these polishes in direct sunlight, but unfortunately there isn't much I can do about the weather.

"Blackberry Beauty" by Lilypad Lacquer. This one was really hard to capture. It contains flakies, and fine holo glitter in a dark purple base that also has a dark steel colour to it in certain light.

"Blueberry Bonanza" by Peita's Polish. Such a cute creamy blue base with dark blue hexes. For my swatch I used three thin coats plus a top coat.

"Mintberry Macaron" by Pretty Pots Polish. A mix of coloured glitters in a creamy mint base. I love this one, it is exactly the type of polish that I love to wear. For my swatch I used three thin coats plus  top coat.

A small pack of extra stars was included for nail art, so I added some stars over the top.

"Fairy Cakes" by Glam Polish. So sweet and girly. A mix a different glitters and dots in a creamy white base. The name of this polish reminds me of my 5th birthday party which was a fairy themed party. For my swatch I used three thin coats plus a top coat to smooth it all out.

"Key Lime Pie" by Moonstone Polish. The only glitter topper this month. A mix of yellow and green glitters in a clear shimmery base. I dabbed one coat over black, I love how this makes the colours pop!
