My picks from the Glam Polish Intergalactic Collection!

I have three polishes from the Glam Polish Intergalactic Collection to show you today.

First up is the glitter topper "Juggling Jupiter."
Glam Polish has amazing glitter toppers and this one is no different, I fell in love with it right away! How could you go wrong with colourful matte dot glitter? It has a great mix of colours and it kind of reminds me of candy.

One coat dabbed over Australis "Peek-A-Boo"

All the matte dot glitter!!

Next is "Planet Purple."
A purple polish packed with colourful glitters.
Unfortunately my fingers look like i am a lobster in these pictures, but it was the best was to show up the true colours of the polish. Had to do a bit of fishing for glitter in this one, but it wasn't too bad.

Three thin coats with a top coat.

My last pick from this collection is "Mars Attacks."
I love the colour of this one, I kind of have a soft spot for mint green. The coloured glitters with the added butterfly's are so cute. I didn't have to do much fishing for the glitters in this one.

I think I may end up getting more from this collection one day because they are all such gorgeous polishes. I am just a broke uni student with an expensive hobby!

Black and White, White and Black.

Something I came up with while I was procrastinating on a Uni assignment.  ;)

I used Sinful Colors "Snow me White" and "Black on Black" for my base colours.

Then added Ulta3 "Stop the Press" over the top.

I'm not exactly sure how this idea ended up in my head, but I like how it turned out!
It kind of reminds me of Dalmatians.   :)

...

Next I decided to do the same thing with Glam Polish "Spot the Difference."
I swapped the black and white base around, just for fun.
This one reminds me more of dice.

Procrastination at its finest. Now off to procrastinate some more!

Galaxy Nails

I have a serious love for galaxy nails. It's almost my go to design when I cant think of anything better to do.

Recently I've done a lot of pastel galaxy nails, so I thought I would try something with some darker colours, just to mix it up a bit.

I really love how this turned out, so there are a lot of photos to go with this one! :)

DS Classic

Two posts in one day, I'm on a roll!

Just a quick one tonight, a swatch turned nail art.

The other day I found O.P.I DS Classic on sale, $10! So I had to get it. I'm supposed to be on a no buy, but it doesn't count if it's just one polish that was on sale, right?

Two coats with top coat.

Seriously, how beautiful is this?! It's just a bit light in real life, but this picture shows up the holo sparkle! So pretty.

Then I decided to do some colour blocking over the top. Mostly because I had the idea stuck in my head and also because I am currently procrastinating on writing my essay for Uni.

I used Sinful Colors "Snow me White" and "Island Coral."

Should have more nail art up soon, procrastination is great for nail art!

Insta-Glam

Today I have my picks out of the Glam Polish Insta-Glam  Collection. This collection was a collaboration between Glam Polish and some Aussie IG nail girls. I ended up getting five out of six from this collection. I first had three picked out, and then ended up getting another two a week later.

So, on to the swatches!

First up is "My BFF is Better than Yours!" designed by @ohmygoshpolish on Instagram.

Three thin coats with top coat.
I love this mint green with neon pink and holo squares, such an awesome combination! And as expected from Glam Polish, perfect application.

With matte top coat.
Macro!

Next is "Go Home Sky, You're Drunk!" designed by @xxlovelauren.

Three thin coats with a top coat.

This one is so unique and beautiful. I love the pastel purple base and neon green and holo glitters, it was different to what I was expecting but I couldn't stop looking at my nails! A bit of fishing was required to get the neon green glitters, but it was worth it.

With matte top coat.
You can better see the neon green in the macro.

The next one is my favorite from the collection, and probably my new favorite glitter topper! This is "A Wedding Theme" by @Erinzi.

One coat dabbed over Essie "Angel Food."
It is so beautiful I could cry! I love this one so much! Again, I couldn't stop looking at my nails (that happens a lot). This polish has pink, white, and gold glitters in a clear base. As the name says, it would be perfect for a wedding.

Jelly sandwich  with top coat.
I had to try a jelly sandwich with this one. I love jelly sandwich nails, especially with a matte top coat!

And the prettiest macro I have ever seen!  It is now the background on my phone!

The next two are the ones I decided to go back and get a week later, and I am glad I did.

This one is "Neon Nubs" designed by @tenlittlenubs.

Three thin coats with a top coat.

This one has neon blue, green and pink glitters in a light/bright blue base. So much prettier and brighter than I first expected. And I didn't have to do much fishing for the larger glitters.

An on the nail macro for something different.
This shows up  all the neon colours!

Macro bottle shot - All the colours!

Lucky last is "Strawbrie Fields Forever" designed by @strawbrie.

Three thin coats with top coat.

This pretty has holo pink diamonds and green dots in a pink jelly base. So cute and girly!  Perfect application, as always.

Macro!

I am seriously in love with everything done by Glam Polish. the formulas are always perfect and so creative. Can't wait to swatch the rest of my untired Glam Polishes!

Beware of the Dark Arts

Today I have my three picks from the Beware of the Dark Arts collection by Shades of Phoenix.

I was so excited for this collection, more Harry Potter themed nail polish!

Each polish from the collection is cleverly named and inspired by a different spell from the Harry Potter books and movies.

My favorite is "Riddikulus"  partly because it is fun to say, but it is also gorgeous polish. It has deep purple, almost black, with purple glitters that sparkle like crazy! The spell "Riddikulus" is used as a defense against a Boggart.

Three thin coats of "Riddikulus" with a top coat.
And a macro, just because I like this one so much!

The next one is "Wingardium Leviosa." I can always hear Hermione Granger's voice in my head when I think about that spell! The spell "Wingardium Leviosa" is used to make objects levitate and is learnt during the first year at Hogwarts. The polish inspired by this useful spell has a really dark blue, almost black, base with blue glitters. Again, it sparkles like crazy! Unfortunately, my camera and I were having disagreements at this point so the photo isn't great and doesn't show the blue very well. :(

Three thin coats and a top coat.

My last pick from the Beware of the Dark Arts collection was a last minuet addition as it was kept a secret all the way up until the shop opened. "You're a Wizard" is a glitter topper filled with tiny colour shifting iridescent glitters.

Two thin coats layered over black.

I plan on doing more swatches of "You're a Wizard" over different coloured bases sometime in the future!

Caviar Pearls

I found these photos from a few weeks ago that I forgot to post, I'm getting so slack with keeping up with editing and posting nail pictures on both here and IG, whoops!  :p

When the Coral Colours Caviar Pearl sets came in at work I got two out of the three (I wasn't really feeling the plain dark blue one). I liked that it came with everything you needed to create the look, the polish, the pearls, and a little funnel.

First up is Pink Rainbow.

Pink Rainbow, all pretty in its box.
I started with the base colour (duh). Application was a little streaky, but I really liked the colour, even on its own. It was kind of a light pinkish colour, but in different light it almost looked like a peach colour.

Two coats of the base colour with a top coat.

When my base colour was dry I added another quick coat over where I wanted the beads to go and poured the beads over the top. For my index finger I used tape as my guild line for where I wanted the beads to go. I love the mix of different coloured pearls for this one.

With the pearls.
I decided to include my (blurry) macro of the pearls for the coloured one, to show the three colours in it a bit better.

A very blurry macro of the colored beads.

The other set I got was called "Black Thunder."

In the box.

I was quite impressed with the black base colour that came with this set. It was opaque in two thin coats and had a smooth application.

Two coats of the base colour.

I decided to go all out with this one and do a full manicure.

With the pearls.

I rocked the full black mani for almost a whole day. A few of the pearls came off, but I ended up picking most of them off anyway! haha.

Lets hear it for the girls!

I'm back at uni this week, which means less nail time! :( I am sure I will still find time to paint my nails every day, but I am hoping that I will be able to do at very least a post a week.

Today I have another two polishes from the Shades of Phoenix Lets Hear it for the Girls Collection. I don't know why I waited this long to get these two polishes, they are so beautiful (as always).

First up I  have "Artemis."  This polish is a creamy white base packed with rose glitters. It is so pretty and girly.

Three thin coats of "Artemis" with a top coat.

Matte top coat.

Macro of "Artemis."

The next one is the limited edition "Persephone." This is so much more amazing than any swatch can capture. It was as if every time I looked at my nails I saw it differently! It has a dark purple base with shimmer and small glitters. The shimmer to this polish made it look different in different light and the base sometimes looked purple and other times looked more red. Call me crazy!

Three thin coats with a top coat (sorry the tips are so worn,
I took this photo after I had been wearing it all day).

My attempt of capturing the colour in a macro.

Shades of Phoenix polishes are one of my favorite indie brands, and every time I use one of these amazing polishes I am reminded why I love them so much.
